Where is it? The specialty will be held at the B&T which is near the Spindle Mill Pond in Hustle, Virginia.

The NAVHDA hunt tests will be held on private property in Ann Arbor. These grounds are only available on the days of the tests. Anyone wishing to work their dog before this time may do so at the field trial grounds at the Highland Recreation Area, Highland, Ml, about 40 miles northeast of Chelsea. Maps to both these locations will be available at the fairgrounds.

Why are the hotels 20 miles away? Chelsea is a small farming town with one hotel, which doesn't allow dogs. Ann Arbor is the closest city to Chelsea (10 miles to the east), but since that weekend is graduation weekend for the University of Michigan, all the hotels there are booked. The closest city to the west is Jackson, 20 miles away.

What's the closest airport? Detroit Metropolitan airport (airport code DTW) is about 33 miles east of Chelsea.

What's included in my registration? Your registration fee ($85 per adult, $45 per child aged 10 and under) includes a "Welcome" reception on Wednesday night, three meals per day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, a continental breakfast on Sunday, AND a nametag! We encourage you to send in your reservation soon to get this "early bird discount". After April 12, registration fees increase to $100 per adult and $55 per child. There is also a single day registration available if you aren't able to stay for all three days.

What will the weather be like? There is a saying in Michigan, "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it will change". The normal high temperature for the end of April is in the mid-60's, and the normal low is in the 40's. However, it has been as warm as 90 degrees and as cold as 10 degrees. It generally rains on 13 days during the month (and occasionally snows), but it can also be sunny and dry. Check the Weather Channel just before you leave, and be prepared for anything!

What do I need to bring? Cameras, lots of money for the auction, and the usual vanload of food and equipment needed to keep your Spinoni happy. "Honorary" Spinoni are also welcome!

Where do I send my registration and entry forms? The entry form and fee for the AKC dog show in Detroit must be sent directly to MB-F, Inc., at the address given in the instructions. All other forms and fees should be sent to:

Jan Naigus
49191 Ridge Court
Northville, MI 48167

Checks should be made payable to "Spinone Club of America" or "SCOA".
